PCI Card with FlexRay Interface

This development project of a FlexRay interface PCI card has been raised within the former cooperation with our customer dealing with testing machines and also supplying products for world-known automobile companies.

The FlexRay card is based on the Freescale controller, FPGA ensuring the communication and a PCI bus controller.

The TEDIA® company has designed the PCI card itself and the testing routines. The software suite implementation for measuring, control and process visualisation has been solved by INOVA company.

DN-4000 Control System

This distributed input/output system has been developed for a leading company dealing with industrial process automation solutions. The system substitues a conventional solution based on standard PC cards and daughter boards for the signal processing.

The system consists of a smart PCI card communicating with two 19" rack industrial systems. As every system may be fitted with units providing up to 192 digital I/O, one PCI card may access 384 I/O. The connection is realised by a high-speed serial isolated interface intended for distances of more than 10m.

Another development of the units is being considered, including the counter units and analog input/output units.

The TEDIA® company has developed all system components including the PCI card Windows driver and ensures the following batch production. The system may be also supplied to other interested parties.

Electonics for the Gas Concentration Detector

The control electronics for the gas concentration detector (especialy carbon dioxide) has been developed for a leading company dealing with components for detection of combustible, explosive and toxic gases and fumes.

The electronics processes the signal from the electrochemical gas sensor (both fitted in a massive metal case). The signal is digitized by ADC, then proccessed by a microcontroller (configurable linearization and calibration) with the 4-20mA current loop output signal. The microcontroller also analyses exceeding of the set of limits after a certain period of time, activating the output relay if exceeded.

The detector configuration may be realised using the serial communication interface or the built-in buttons.

The TEDIA® company has developed and ensures the following batch production of the electronic part. The following completion of the units is ensured by the submitter.

Vibration Analysis System

The vibration analysis system DF-VG-01 for signal digitization and processing has been developed for a leading company dealing with systems for mechanical analysis, diagnostics and data monitoring.

The system allows the user to extend the number of analog inputs from eight to up to 32. All input signals are sampled by high sampling frequency and then the presence of chosen frequencies is analysed using the DFT method. The system is completely autonomous, detecting proper operation of connected sensors and measured results are send to master system for additional processing using standard LAN interface.

The system is used for measuring of the vibration at the inner parts of big electric generators (e.g. 220 MW generator). The system monitors the vibration amplitudes at the frequencies of 50 Hz and 100 Hz, where most of the defects are being observed at such generator types.

The system processes the accelerometer sensor signals and the trend of vibration amplitudes at chosen frequencies is sent to output. The measuring interval is user selectable, as well as the amplitude type (acceleration, speed or the vibration deviation).

The TEDIA® company has realized the development and manufacturing of the whole system.

Matrix Signal Switch

This configurable matrix signal switch of high-speed digital signals has been developed using high efficient FPGA, allowing to switch 384 inputs and outputs.

The firmware detects the input signals and allows the user to interconnect any input with any output. One input may also lead to more outputs.

Standard LAN interface is used for configuration and supervision.

The TEDIA® company has realized the development and manufacturing of the electronic part of the system.
