MU-415, MU-416, MU-815, MU-816

The MU-415 and MU-416 modules offer four analogue input channels configurable for voltage measurement (S.E. or differential input topology) or resistance measurement in two-wire, three-wire and four-wire topology.

The MU-815 and MU-816 modules offer eight analogue input channels configurable for voltage measurement (S.E. topology) or resistance measurement in two-wire topology.

For direct measurement with different temperature sensors, the firmware implements algorithms for linearization of most of the resistive thermometers (RTDīs) and thermocouples including compensation of the "cold end" of the thermocouple (modules are equipped with a temperature sensor located in the immediate proximity of the analog input terminals).

All types mentioned above allow to choose an appropriate input range (including thermocouple and RTD linearization) independently for each input channel.

The modules are based on 24-bit A/D converter, high precision and long-term stability is achieved by the autocalibration running continuously on the background of cyclic measurements. The time needed to measure all channels, including autocalibration and open senzor detection, takes less than 1.2 seconds. Alternatively, floating filters averaging the results of the ten most recent measured values can be activated.

The module also includes two digital inputs with counter capability and two digital outputs (MU-415/815) or four digital outputs (MU-416/816).

The whole analogue input group is isolated from other circuits of module (DIO ports, power supply and RS-485 interface), but inputs are not isolated from each other. The digital inputs and outputs are isolated from other circuits and from each other (except DOUT channels for MU-416/816 types).
