Software support
MicroUnit modules are equipped with two communication protocol - standard Modbus RTU and channel-oriented AIBus-2. Protocols are software selectable during user configuration.
For typical applications with PC or PLC as a Modbus RTU master, there is no need to use specific MicroUnit drivers and any general software support for this protocol can be used.
In the case of programs using AIBus-2 protocol (e.g. ControlWeb drivers and TEDIA MicroUnit datalogger) specific software support is required. However, the installation packages of these programs already contain AIBus-2 protocol support for the various RS-485 interfaces.

I/O modules Configuration & test utility
This utility is available for all MicroUnit modules (regardless of the protocol chosen) connected via RS-485 COM port or LAN converters.

Note: The configuration program supports generic RS-485 COM ports (both Modbus RTU and AIBus-2 protocols), MU-1052M LAN module (Modbus TCP protocol), MU-1052(U) LAN module (AIBus-2 protocol) and generic ModbusTCP gateway.

TEDIA MicroUnit datalogger
This datalogger application supports all MicroUnit modules connected via MU-1052U converter module, standard COM port and many other dedicated RS-485 intefaces. Software driver (required AIBus-2 protocol option) is part of the installation package.

Control Web drivers
The driver for the Control Web system (a Czech development environment provided by Moravian Instruments) is available for all MicroUnit modules connected via MU-1052U converter module (required AIBus-2 protocol option).

PROMOTIC SCADA/HMI system
The drivers (both Modbus RTU and AIBus-2 protocols) are included with the system.
The functional freeware version and all other information can be obtained directly from the manufacturer's website, Microsys Ostrava (www.promotic.eu/en).
