PCA-7428CL, PCA-7428CS, PCA-7428CE

The PCA-7428CL/CS/CE card is a powerful general-purpose multifunctional PCI card offering all common I/O features.

The card provides eight analog inputs (expandable up to 32 inputs), fitted with 14-bit A/D converter and with the biggest data buffer in its class (32 kB); it provides data for more than 150 ms at the highest sampling frequency. The card is also available with isolated analog inputs, labeled as PCA-7228CE.

The card also provides two analog outputs with 12-bit D/A converters (CS version only), two programmable counters connected to six dedicated inputs, eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs.

The card also includes IRQ logic with three interrupt sources derived from EOS (end of the measurement sequence), programmable FIFO flag and from the internal timer. The timer allows the user (together with the period setup, startup and stop) to read back its actual state.

All DAQ PCI cards "C" series are equipped CardID - two segment DIP switch that allows to recognise up to 4 cards (especially when installing multiple cards of the same type).

The analog inputs and outputs are accessible via the D-Sub 25 connector, the counters via the D-Sub 9 connector then; both of them are placed on the card mounting bracket. The digital ports are accessible via the PCE-16xx series adaptor (not included), using the card mounting bracket with two D-Sub 25 or D-Sub 9 connectors.
